Spring Flower Festival Celebrates New Year

Ho Chi Minh City’s annual Spring Flower Festival will take place at Tao Dan Park in District 1 and at Ho Con Rua on Cong Truong Quoc Te Square in District 3 from January 25-February 5.  It is a traditional activity in the city to celebrate the Lunar New Year to attract foreign and domestic tourists.

The festival includes musical, kylin, dragon-dance and circus performances. Hundreds of artisans and horticulturalists from around the country and other countries will be showcasing their items such as: ornamental plants, bonsai, rock-gardens, dried trees, grafted stones, cacti, ornamental fish and various rare flowers.

Other Lunar New Year spring flower markets will open from January 23-30. The main and large-scale flower markets will take place at the 23/9 Park, Le Van Tam Park in District 1 and Gia Dinh Park in Go Vap District.

One hundred twenty five more flower markets are expected to open in districts across the city.
