Wood furniture exporters in Vietnam conferred with six major furniture importers and the Trade Facilitation Office of Canada, on ways to boost trade between the two countries.
Wood furniture exports to Canada reached US$160 million last year. The ongoing discussions with the Canadian importers are expected to help local wood furniture exporters gain ground in this potentially lucrative market.
During the recent economic crisis, the Trade Facilitation Office of Canada had successfully boosted exports in 16 countries to Canada.
