Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam, Vietnam Animation Studio and Gangwon Information and Culture Development Institute jointly have launched a competition to make short cartoon in Hanoi.
This is one of activities to start the second Vietnam-Korean cartoon festival on June 2.
The competition is for Vietnamese professional and amateur film makers. According to the requirements, cartoon submissions are not over 10 minute long and its content is suitable for children without adult or violence.
Gangwon Information and Culture Development Institute and some big cartoon film companies in Korea will guide the three winning authors to complete the entries before participating in the International Cartoon Festival to be held in Chuncheo in September, 2015.
Works must be sent no later than July 30, 2015.
Park Nark Jong, director of the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam, said that three excellent works will be granted awards at the opening ceremony of the Vietnam-Korea Cartoon Festival from August 13-16 in Hanoi. Cartoon lovers and kids can have chance to enjoy Vietnamese and Korean cartoons. Admission to the festival is free.
The festival is also an opportunity for both Vietnamese and Korean cartoon companies to exchange experience in making, procedures, techniques and promotion of cartoons in both countries
