Senior musician writes a song for Japanese

Composer Do Hong Quan, Chairman of the Vietnam Musicians’ Association spent five days to compile a song entitled “Sending Charitable Words” as the gift for victims of the earthquakes and tsunamis in Japan . The song is performed by singer Ho Quynh Huong.

The idea to write this song came up in a talk between Do Hong Quan and poet, musician and politician Vu Mao after the disasters in Japan . The first words of the song were from the talk. 

“I froze the first time I listened to the song,” said Meritorious Artist Chieu Xuan, Do Hong Quan’s wife, talked about the song.

Their daughter Hong Khanh immediately performed the song.

“I burst into tears when I sang that song because I love my Japanese friends. My grandmother, my uncle and parents-in-law of my cousin also cried when they listened to this song,” Hong Khanh related.

Sending Charitable Words” video clip was shot on March 29, performed by singer Ho Quynh Huong. Musician Do Hong Quan hoped that the song will rouse up support for Japanese victims.
