Speaking at the launching ceremony, deputy editor-in-chief of the Sai Gon Giai Phong, Nguyen Thanh Loi stressed that the program with English and Chinese subtitles will first provide popular tourist destinations in HCM City to local and international tourists.
The new field aims to contribute to promoting Vietnam’s images and Vietnamese people as well as boost the tourism development of HCM City and the country in general.
Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa promised to cooperate with the Sai Gon Giai Phong online newspaper to promote the program, adding that the section's articles will bring useful information to visitors.
Sai Gon Giai Phong Online's managing editor Nguyen Chien Dung said the staff members spent 4 months making videos featuring the city's sightseeing and attractions in the hope of bringing real images and sounds to visitors. "We hope to receive constructive feedback and opinion’s from viewers and functional departments through new section", added Dung.
