Railway sector adds train services to meet travel demand during National Day

Railway Transport Joint Stock Company has announced plans to add multiple train services on several routes to meet increased travel demand during the September 2 National Day holiday.

On the Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City route, the railway sector will add four SE23 and SE24 services on August 28 and 31.

On the Hanoi-Da Nang route, an additional SE17 train will operate on August 29, followed by SE18 on August 30.

On the Hanoi-Vinh route, an additional NA3 train will run on August 28, along with QB2 services on September 1 and 2.

On the Hanoi-Dong Hoi route, additional QB1 and QB2 trains will operate on August 28 and 31, respectively.

The Hanoi-Hai Duong-Hai Phong route will add 12 train services.

The Saigon-Da Nang route will maintain the SE21/22 train pair. On the Saigon-Quy Nhon route, SE30 will be added on August 28 and SE29 on September 2.

The Saigon-Nha Trang route will add SNT4, SNT6 and SNT8 on August 28; SNT3 on August 29 and September 2; and SNT5 on September 1 and 2.

The Saigon-Phan Thiet route will add SPT4 services on August 29, 30 and September 2, and SPT3 services on September 1 and 2.

As of August 21, the railway sector had sold approximately 64,000 train tickets for the holiday period.

The Railway Transport Joint Stock Company also said that a ceremony to launch the tourist train “Hue Ancient Capital - Phong Nha: World Heritage Journey” will take place at Dong Hoi Station on August 28.

The train will comprise eight carriages and accommodate more than 300 passengers, including five carriages equipped with soft seats that can rotate 180 degrees, a premium 24-seat carriage, a community carriage and an entertainment and service carriage.
