The province’s tourism sector has improved and diversified products, developed human resources, upgraded infrastructure and boosted regional and global connectivity to attract visitors.
Along with upholding the efficiency of existing flights, the sector has accelerated the launch of new flights to domestic and foreign tourism hubs.
The provincial Tourism Association and local travel agencies partnered with the Hanoi Railway Corporation to launch a partnership programme on tourism demand stimulation via railway, under which tourists to and from Quang Binh will be provided with information regarding tours, accommodation and major landmarks.
The province held Hoang Phuc pagoda festival, Phong Nha – Ke Bang carp competition, built a wall-painting road in Canh Duong coastal village and organised a fish worship festival in Canh Duong.
A cultural-tourism festival is scheduled for April 24 – May 1 in Dong Hoi city while a culture-sports-tourism festival and a full moon festival will take place in Minh Hoa district in April.
In the first quarter this year, up to 727,000 holidaymakers visited Quang Binh, up 12 percent annually, 33,000 of them are foreigners, up 8 percent year-on-year.
