A program themed “A jounrney connecting community with mothers” calling on people to tribute mothers who have spent their life for for charitable activities and made huge contributions to the national revolution has been kicked off in Ho Chi Minh City on August 21.
The event organized by the Fund ““For Vietnamese children with disabilities” aims to honor women who take care of disadvantaged people, children with disabilities; and Vietnamese heroic mothers who have made numerous contributions and sacrifices for the cause of national liberation, national construction and defense.
The program will be organized in cities and provinces throughout the country, including Ho Chi Minh City, Khanh Hoa, Binh Dinh, Quang Ngai, Da Nang, Quang Tri, Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Hai Phong and Quang Ninh.
The organizers will offer more than 1,000 gifts to Vietnamese heroic mothers, old people in retirement home, and disabled children.
The event will run until September 30.
