PM orders control prices, security during national holidays

Vietnamese Prime Minister has sent its dispatch to ministries and concerned agencies asking to supervise prices of essential commodities for the national holidays.

In his dispatch, it clearly states that responsible departments and agencies to tighten control over prices of essential commodities and pay heed to food safety in entertainment and tourism areas. Inspectors have to issue strict penalties on violation. Public transport must be available for increasing traveling demands.

PM Nguyen Tan Dung asks concerned agencies to implement measures to help prevent traffic gridlock. Moreover, inspection is carried out to detect speculation, traffic safety violation including fast speeding and drinking alcohol while driving.

The Vietnam PM urges health sector to supply adequate facilities for epidemic prevention and control. Medical workers are required to work around the clock to provide emergency aids to severe cases and victims of traffic accidents.

The Ministry of Public Security is requested to ensure law and order at commercial areas and entertainment parks. It is required to supervise fire safety at markets, industrial parks and crowded residential quarters. Border safe guards are on duty to protect the country’s sovereignty.
