Photo exhibition celebrates Reunification Day

A photo exhibition honoring the love for the country and Uncle Ho was opened at Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature) in Hanoi on April 28.

A photo exhibition honoring the love for the country and Uncle Ho was opened at Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature) in Hanoi on April 28.

The display introduces to viewers 90 photos shot by brothers Dinh Dang Dinh (journalist) and Dinh Quang Thanh (photographer). 

The late artist Dinh Dang Dinh (1920-2003) was the first General Secretary of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in 1965-1983.

He had a chance to travel with President Ho Chi Minh during 17 years from 1948-1965. He took thousands of photos on Uncle Ho’s activities in the national liberation career.

He received Ho Chi Minh Award for Literature and Art with his collection of “President Ho Chi Minh”.

Dinh Quang Thanh was one of the four famous and notable Vietnamese people who are honored in the Vietnamese encyclopedias.

The event will run until April 30.
