PetroVietnam has said that it will step up construction of the Nghi Son and Long Son oil refinery plants from 2011 to 2015 period.
Once operational, the two new oil refinery plants and Dung Quat Oil Refinery, Vietnam’s first, are expected to attain a total capacity of 16-17 million tons of products by 2015.
The plants will together meet 60-70 percent of domestic consumption.
Nghi Son is located in the northern province of Thanh Hoa, while Long Son is in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau.
