PV Gas South, a unit of PetroVietnam Corporation, has announced that it will reduce gas prices VND8,000 and VND30,000 for 12 kilogram and 45 kilogram gas tanks, respectively on December 8.
Gas brandnames that will also be reducing their price are Petrovietnam Gas, VT Gas, Dang Phuoc Gas and A Gas.
According to deputy director of the PV Gas South Tran Van Nghi, the price-cutting is a part of price stabilization program, which will be implemented now until the Lunar New Year Holiday. However, the price reduction for gas is just being applied until the end of December (Vietnam Oil and Gas Group and Petrovietnam Gas).
Mr Nghi said, “The prices are applied for all gas retail systems of PV Gas South from Da Nang City to Ca Mau Province. Depending on world’s gas price, PV Gas South will adjust gas prices from the beginning of January 2011”.
