A total of 60,023 new enterprises were established with a total registered capital of VND352.5 trillion (US$16.57 billion) in Vietnam in the first ten months this year, reported the General Statistics Office.
The number of new enterprises fell 6.5 percent but registered capital increased 9.5 percent over the same period last year.
Average registered capital of a new company reached VND5.9 billion (US$227,000) in ten months, a 17.2 percent year on year increase. The new companies are expected to create 883,000 jobs, down 0.2 percent over the same period last year.
The above data showed that enterprises have not escaped from difficulties but quality of the new enterprises was better than that in a year ago, said the office’s experts. In the ten months, they supplemented an extra registered capital of VND827 trillion (US$38.87 billion).
