Nick Vujicic visits Vietnam

Nick Vujicic, the well-known Australian who has been an inspiration to millions around the world by surmounting his disabilities and living life to the fullest without the use of any of his four limbs, arrived in Vietnam on May 22.

Soon after Nick arrived in Vietnam, he held his first exchange meeting at the White Palace Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City, which drew a crowd of more than 5,000 invited guests.
 
Nick is not only being welcomed by his Vietnamese friends but also by a special friend, translator Bich Lan. Translator Bich Lan is also disadvantaged like Nick. With weak arms she hugged Nick, an act that left viewers very emotional.

During his first meeting, Nick was surprised to meet 24 Vietnamese people just like him.

In his speech, Nick told of his difficulties and affirmed that every one of us has an inherent power and uniqueness about us.

Nick told jokes related to the defects in his body, which made everyone laugh. After the speech, he answered audience questions about his life.

On May 23, Nick will hold a meeting with businessmen in Ho Chi Minh City under the theme ‘Never Give Up’, before he travels to Hanoi to hold another exchange with 2,000 youth at the My Dinh Stadium.
