Eighty percent of foreign direct investment (FDI) firms in Vietnam use medium technologies, five percent use high technologies and the rest are at low level, according to a study in the phase 2014-2016.
The study was released at a conference on FDI and environmentally legal polices hosted by the Central Economic Management Institute in Hanoi this morning.
Foreign investors have been uninterested in environmental field including water supply and wastewater treatment, according to the study.
