The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has given permission to model Phuong Mai to participate in “The Look of the Year” world supermodel contest to be held in Italy from September 25 to October 1.
Phuong Mai was amongst the top 10 contenders for the Asian Super Model 2009 contest and among the top 15 in the Miss Vietnam World 2010 contest. The 173cm tall beauty is one of the country’s most outstanding models.
“The Look of the Year” modeling contest was launched in 1983 and has so far provided the world’s modeling industry with many supermodels. Notable past contestants include Cindy Crawford, Stephanie Seymour, Tatjana Patitz, Gisele Bundchen, Natalia Semanova, Yfke Sturm and Mini Anden.
Participating contestants must be between 16-22 years of age, of minimum height of 1.72m and be selected from a prestigious modeling agency in their country.
The top 15 winners will be trained as professional models for world renowned fashion shows in the major fashion capitals of the world.
