Mitsubishi Corporation officials have paid a visit to Vinashin for the discussion with its authorities on having a container ship of DWT56300 built by Vinashin.
The ship will be ready for delivery by 2008 or 2009 if an agreement is reached.
Currently, Vinashin is building ships of DWT 53000 under contracts with Britain.
It is putting finishing touches on the first ship HR53-NT01 while the second one is also under rapid construction.
