Miss Vietnam Beauty Pageant 2016 has been kicked off in Ho Chi Minh City on March 15.
Contestants will participate in the northern and southern primary rounds of the contest which will take place in July.
40 beauties throughout the country will be selected for the final round. They will participate in a series of sideline events, including taking part in charity projects and selfless acts within their groups. They will present their projects and winner of the best project will receive the Beauty with a Purpose Award.
The final night of Miss Vietnam Beauty Pageant 2016 will be held in Ho Chi Minh City on August 27.
Started in 1988, Miss Vietnam is one of the most prestigious beauty pageants in the country, aiming to honor knowledge, morality and beauty of Vietnamese women. The winner of the contest will have a chance to be a representative of the country to take part in the international beauty pageants.
