Malaysia ranks 4th in list of countries investing in HCMC

HCMC always want to foster a relationship with Malaysian localities and businesses, said Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong at a reception for Malaysia’s new Consul General to the city Wong Chia Chiann on November 27.

Malaysia now has 256 investment projects worth US$4.68 billion in HCMC, ranking fourth on list of countries investing in the city, said the HCMC leader.
He believed that new Consul General, Wong Chia Chiann will play the role of a bridge to boost bilateral relations in fields that are major concerns for the two sides, contributing to the enhancement of the relationship between the two countries.
For her part, Ms Wong Chia Chiann said that she will try her best to bring businesses of the two sides closer together to strengthen relations between HCMC and Malaysia and build an ASEAN community of peace, stability and prosperity.
