Largest inland container depot to be built in Hanoi

Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh attended in a groundbreaking ceremony for project of inland container depot (ICD) in Hanoi city at Co Bi commune of Gia Lam district in Hanoi city on May 15.

Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh attended in a groundbreaking ceremony for project of inland container depot (ICD) in Hanoi city at Co Bi commune of Gia Lam district in Hanoi city on May 15.

It is the largest ICD in Hanoi city covering 47, 2 hectares including two phases.

The first phase of the project covering 19, 2 hectares with total investment capital of over VND 781. 8 billion is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2017. It will receive 380, 000 TEUs per a year.

Its second phase with total capital of VND 1, 782 billion will be finished in the fourth quarter of 2021.

The ICD is estimated to receive a double increase in cargo with TEUs 760, 000 per a year after the second phase of the project will be done.
