The information was reported at the Korean - Vietnamese Talent Recruitment Day under co-organization of the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Ho Chi Minh City and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ho Chi Minh City yesterday.
The recruitment day was held for the first time in 2013 and became an annual employment event in Ho Chi Minh City aiming to support Korean enterprises operating in central provinces from Quang Tri province to southern provinces to recruit young Vietnamese human resources with professional qualifications from vocational secondary level to university and postgraduate.
This year, the event gathered 45 Korean businesses and around 1,400 Vietnamese candidates.
By the end of May 2019, South Korea still led the first position of the countries and territories investing in Vietnam with about 7,905 projects and total registered investment capital of US$ 64.55 billion.
South Korean businesses appreciated the continuous improvement of the business environment of the Vietnamese Government which is one of the reasons for South Korean enterprises to consider Vietnam as a strategic investment market in the forthcoming time.
