Three Japanese marine self-defense vessels carrying a crew of 750 officers, sailors and cadets, docked at Tien Sa Port in the central coastal city of Da Nang on October 19.

The ships include two training ships JDS Kashima (TV3508) and Shirayuki (TV3517) and an escort ship Isoyuki (DD127), led by Rear Admiral Fumiyuki Kitagawa.
The crew of the three vessels will pay a courtesy visit to leaders of Da Nang People’s Committee, the High Command of Military Zone 5 and the Command of Naval Region 3 during their three-day visit.
The two navies will have a joint exercise on search and rescue operations at sea.
