The meeting was jointly organized by German Industry and Commerce Vietnam (GIC/AHK Vietnam) and the Overseas Construction Association of Japan (OCAJI) and the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan (AHK Japan).

At the meeting, 27 attendees from Japanese constructors namely Toyo, Shimizu, Taisei, etc. and German companies such as Bosch, ThyssenKrupp, Bauer, BASF, WILO etc. introduced their products and services as well as to exchange experiences in doing business in Vietnam.

They were also informed on the best practice of Shimizu Corporation Vietnam, a known Japanese main constructor and developer in Vietnam. Cooperation opportunities in major projects in Vietnam were also discussed during the meeting, especially for metro expansion projects in HCMC with German know-how in traffic system management, power supply and energy efficient buildings.

“We do hope that such helpful and positive meeting will encourage the formation of networks between companies of the two countries in Vietnam. Japanese constructors could find German partners as suitable suppliers of different products that Germany has huge advantages like elevator, building technologies, water pump etc.” says Mr. Marko Walde, Chief Representative of GIC/AHK Vietnam.
