She has also performed with such leading orchestras as the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Rochester Philharmonic, Naples Philharmonic, New York Chamber, and the symphonies of Detroit, Houston, Forth Worth, Cincinnati, Toledo and Quebec, as well as Baltimore, San Francisco, Syracuse, North Carolina, Greensboro, Tucson, San Diego, Tacoma, Spokane, Honolulu and Winnipeg
She was awarded Silver Medal at the International Tchaikovsky Competition in 2002 and the was the first-prize winner of the 2001 Pablo Sarasate International Violin Competition in 2002.
Tamaki Kawakubo collaborate with Michael Tilson Thomas and the New World Symphony in 2001-02,Michael Tilson Thomas and the San Francisco Symphony , the El Paso and Colonial (NJ) symphonies, Larry Rachieff and Symphony II in Chicago, the Berlin Sinfonie Orchestra under E. Inbal and the MDR Sinfonie Orchestra under Fabio Luisi.
