Japan provides over $600,000 of non- refundable aid to Vietnam

A memorandum of understanding on providing a non-refundable aid of US$ 646,517 between Japan and Vietnam was signed at the Consulate General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City on December 9.

The fund will focus on health and education projects, including equipping health  facilities at local medical clinics in Mekong Delta provinces such as An Giang, Kien Giang, Long An; building primary schools in the central highland province of Dak Nong and in Kien Giang Province; and building 12 bridges in Can Tho City.

Mr. Nakajima Satoshi, Consul-General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City affirmed that the assistance will strengthen relationships between Vietnam and Japan.
