Japan desires to boost investment into Vietnam

Vietnamese Prime Minister (PM) Nguyen Xuan Phuc yesterday received Koichi Miyata, Chairman of Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group (SMFG) cum Chairman of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) of Japan at Governmental office in capital of Hanoi.

Mr. Koichi Miyata thanked the Vietnamese Government, ministries and agencies especially State Bank of Vietnam for creating its favorable business condition in Vietnam.

He desired that SMBC would continue to expanding the provision of preferential loans to Vietnam, especially in the field of infrastructure development.

PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc said that the Vietnamese Government always creates favorable condition and solve all difficulties and obstacles for foreign investors. 

Additionally, the PM desired Japan would strength further its investment in Vietnam and become the largest foreign investor in the country. 

He expressed his pleasure about the list of Japan’s investment projects in Vietnam under aids of SMBC hoping that SMBC to further increase its credit for Japanese and Vietnamese partners.
