Italian book about Vietnam’s island sovereignty released

Sandra Scagliotti, Director of the Center for Vietnam Studies in Torino, Italy has presented her Italian-language book titled “‘Il Banco Di Sabbia Dorata. Il Viet Nam e Gli arcipelaghi del Mare Orientale’ (Golden Sands, Vietnam and the archipelagos in the East Sea).

The book which is published by the Epics Edizioni includes a collection of artilces on history, geo-politics, strategy, anthropology, and legality by prestigious Vietnamese and international scholras.
The book also consists of evidences and photos of historical maps, woodblocks and official documents under the Nguyen dynasty demonstrating Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) islands.
Sandra said the first message that she wants to send to the public via the book is that Hoang Sa and Truong Sa islands belong to Vietnam. The second message which Torino wants to focus on is seeking and collecting historical evidences to affirm Vietnam's sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa islands.
