The Ao dai festival, part of Hue Festival 2014, attracted a large number of audiences at Ngo Mon Square on April 14.

This year’s show themed “The world’s images printed on the Vietnamese ao dai ( traditional long dress) presented 600 ao dai by 18 designers.
The Ao dai festival aims to promote and honor the culture of traditional Vietnamese dresses during different periods of time to local and foreign visitors.
In addition, Thai Y Duong - the workplace of royal physicians has also drawn a lot of people. Visitors will have a chance to get a traditional medical checkup and feeling of the pulse as well as enjoying exhibits of Hue folk medicine.
An ornamental plant exhibition is open to the public at Co Ha Park, one of five royal park in the Imperial Citadel.
The event shows more than 600 exhibits of various varieties of ornamental trees and plants including bonsais, orchids and cacti. 117 artisans along with flower clubs and companies across the country participate in the event.
