On August 24, Van Thi Bach Tuyet, Deputy Party Secretary and Head of the Steering Committee for Grassroots Democracy and Party Organization Development in enterprises across Ho Chi Minh City, chaired a supervision session at Trung My Tay Ward.
Trung My Tay Ward People’s Committee Chairman Ho Minh Hoang reported that Trung My Tay Ward has worked to build a government closer to the people and businesses. The rate of on-time administrative processing reached 98.34 percent, digitalization of outputs 99.16 percent, and satisfaction among organizations and individuals 98.8 percent.
The ward has also strengthened the reception and handling of citizen feedback, guided residents in using online public services, and improved transparency and accountability.
In terms of social welfare, the ward disbursed preferential allowances to 4,003 beneficiaries and relatives of contributors to the revolution, with funding of about VND9 billion (US$343,000). It also provided allowances to 11,733 social protection and retirement beneficiaries, totaling about VND14 billion. Additionally, local authorities mobilized residents and businesses to support policy families and disadvantaged citizens.
Concluding the session, Deputy Secretary Van Thi Bach Tuyet acknowledged the ward’s proactive implementation of grassroots democracy, from publicizing information and gathering citizen opinions to addressing petitions through dialogue and voter engagement.
Regarding Party and socio-political organization building in enterprises, she requested specific plans with clear assignments and targeted mobilization to gradually establish mass organizations, moving toward Party organization formation in non-state enterprises and non-public service units.
She also stressed that Party membership development among workers must be flexible and practical, avoiding rigid requirements for participation at their place of residence. Local authorities should assist with application guidance, verification, and organizing Party awareness classes outside office hours, on weekends, or through suitable formats.
Deputy Secretary Van Thi Bach Tuyet reiterated that grassroots democracy must be genuine, transparent, and clear, with citizen input objectively evaluated and responsibly incorporated, not treated as a formality.
