At the meeting, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism cum Chairman of the Vietnam Football Federation Le Khanh Hai, Head of General Department of Sports and Physical Training Vuong Bich Thang congratulated great achievements of the national football team under the leadership of coach Park Hang-seo as well as the South Korean coach's contributions as the runner up at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U23 Championship, a champion of AFF Cup 2018, qualifying in semifinals of the 18th Asian Game and the 2019 Asian Cup quarterfinals.
With the wonderful achievements, head coach Park Hang-seo and his students helped affirm position of Vietnam’s football at international sport tournaments. On behalf of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, Minister Nguyen Ngoc Thien thanked and highly appreciated outstanding contributions of the coach and footballers, who created a successful year for the country’s sport, brought pride for nation, made Vietnamese football lovers and fans excited. Minister Nguyen Ngoc Thien sent best health wishes, congratulation and special gifts of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc to coach Park Hang- seo.
