Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc has recently directed relevant agencies to organize the fireworks displays. The city will stage fireworks displays from 9:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. on July 2 at 16 locations across Ho Chi Minh City.
Under the decision of the municipal People’s Committee, five high-range firework displays will be organized in the area at the entrance to the Saigon River Tunnel in An Khanh Ward, the New City Center area in Binh Duong Ward, Tam Thang Square in Vung Tau Ward, Cu Chi Tunnels Historical Site in An Nhon Tay Commune, and the Can Gio Coastal Urban Tourism Area.
In addition, 11 low-range firework display sites will be organized at locations, including No. 1, Street No. 3, Tan Nhut Commune Administrative Center; Ben Noc Temple in Tang Nhon Phu Ward; the Central Administrative Square of Tan My Ward; the Public Service Provision Center in Dat Do Commune; Pier 914 historical site in Con Dao Special Zone; the resettlement area park in Ngai Giao Commune; the football ground of the Cultural, Sports, and Broadcasting Center in Dau Tieng Commune; the football ground of the Cultural, Sports, and Community Learning Center in Minh Thanh Commune; the Vuon Cau Residential Area Project in Lai Thieu Ward; the Saigon Marina IFC Tower at No. 2 Ton Duc Thang Street, Saigon Ward; and Hung Vuong Street in Van Hanh Quarter, Phu My Ward.
The Ho Chi Minh City High Command has been assigned to take the lead in preparations for and the organization of the fireworks displays, while coordinating with relevant departments, agencies, and local authorities to ensure absolute safety during the transportation, installation, and launch of the fireworks.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Public Security will coordinate efforts to maintain security and public order, implement fire prevention and firefighting measures, and manage traffic flow in areas where large crowds are expected to gather to watch the fireworks. The department will also oversee and regulate waterway traffic around the display sites from 8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on July 2.
