HCMC helps those who served in revolution

Following the spirit “When drinking water, remembering its source” People’s Committee in Ho Chi Minh City ordered chairpersons in districts to repair and build houses for those who served in the nation's revelotion.

Following the spirit “When drinking water, remembering its source” People’s Committee in Ho Chi Minh City ordered chairpersons in districts to repair and build houses for those who served in the nation's revelotion.

Local authorites should pay attention to houses of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers. The construction must be completed before July, 2016, as per the People’s Committee’s request.

Concerning to support to these special people, the municipal Department of Construction said that in this year, it will submit a document for building and repairing additional 266 houses with estimated spending of VND10.41 billion (US$ 466,888).

After the government issued a document on supporting houses for those who served during the revolution, the city has supported 1,265 cases totally worth VND55.77 billion (US$ 2,501,284). In addition, the city approved to take the city's state budget to support VND20 million to other cases and VND30 million for houses in HCMC’s outlying districts Nha Be and Can Gio.
