According to the plan, the city will build a mechanism to develop human resources for the medical sector. Moreover, it will launch new training models and improve training quality for nursing students.
Of new training models, higher educational institutions will focus on post-graduate training in ten months or two years for newly-graduated students who work in district-level medical facilities.
Additionally, HCMC will continue to send managers in the health sector to participate in fresh courses on hospital management and leadership in Australia, Japan and South Korea in 2019.
People’s Committee in HCMC has also built regulations on recruitment and assignment of medicine graduates and staffs to work in public infirmaries and carried out policies to attract and support good medical workers to work in outlying districts and special institutions for people living with HIV or leprosy, forensic science, tuberculosis, and mental sickness.
The city will also support good physicians who are ready to work for major infirmaries and grassroot-level medical centers to help reducing pressures in big hospitals.
