A ballet performance titled “Flowers in the city” was introduced at Ho Chi Minh City Opera House on June 9 by the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera (HBSO).
The free show for students and young people was choreographed by People’s Artist Kim Quy, scripted by People’s Artist Vu Viet Cuong with participation of musician Viet Anh and dancers of HBSO.
On the same day, a chamber music concert featuring the Eine Flute Ensemble, including 13 Korean artists and leading counterparts from HCMC: Dao Nhat Quang (Clarinet), Tang Thanh Nam (violin), Nguyen Tan Anh (cello), Bui Anh Son (viola), Joo Sun Young (piano) took place at the theater.
The concert presented music lovers traditional Korea songs and famous works by representative composers of Romantic period: Frederic Chopin, Camille Saint-Saens, Leroy Anderson, Antonin Dvorak, and Henryk Wieniawski.
The Eine Flute Ensemble, founded in 1997, is a renowned ensemble in Korea, often known as TOP FIVE. They play traditional flute and often combine with the guest artists' musical instruments.
