Needy artists and writers who have certificate of permanent residence and poor employees of unions with more than 15 years of seniority are eligible for the policy.
Poet Huu Thinh, President of Vietnam Union of Literary and Arts Associations, said that as per the Prime Minister’s direction, Hanoi People’s Committee assigned IEC Construction Company to give 200 social houses in Thanh Tri District to the associations.
People's artist; artists and writers who win Ho Chi Minh prize, labor medals, resistance war medal; those whose are relatives of martyrs, victims of Agent Orange or those worked over 20 years in the field and employees of unions with more than 15 years of seniority will be selected by a jury.
Now, unions are working over the issue. List of selected artists, writers will be sent back to the Vietnam Union of Literary and Arts Associations before October 15.
