The import tariffs of leaded gasoline, unleaded gasoline, and jet fuel reduced to 6 percent from 12 percent, according to the Ministry of Finance’s latest decision, which takes effect on customs declarations since February 1, 2010.
Diesel oil received a minimum cut in import tariff, which decreased to 2 percent from 5 percent.
The ministry made this decision after some major gasoline businesses complained that they still suffered losses, although the ministry had taken several support measures, including taxes cut and gasoline-price stabilization fund.
Earlier, the ministry lowered import tariffs for gasoline from 17 percent to 12 percent, and for oil and diesel fuel from 10 percent to 5 percent.
