French-Vietnamese Gourmet Festival opens in City

French-Vietnamese Gourmet Festival, one of the many activities for French Year in Vietnam and marking the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries, opened  at September 23 Park in Ho Chi Minh City on December 14.

Visitors will have a chance to enjoy wonderful dishes, beverages, agricultural products, and many high quality foods at about 30 display booths of the two countries.

They can join the Bread Baking Contest ‘Coupe Louis Lesaffere’ and the winner of the contest will represent Vietnam for the World Baking Cup in Paris in 2014.

The Lesaffre Group is a leader in the field of yeast and bread making and supplier of yeast extracts and bakery yeast. The company has operated in Vietnam for the last ten years.

The festival will include an outdoor music show titled ‘Bonjour Vietnam’ with participation of famous singers such as Ho Ngoc Ha, Ha Okio, Phuogn Vy, Pham Anh Khoa, Witenoiz, Andre Ngo Trio, Trang Phap, Ong Cao Thang and Dong Nhi.

The event is being held by the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam and will run until December 15.
