Emergency medical center launched in HCMC

The Emergency 115 Center, a state-run medical clinic, is located on 266 Ly Thuong Kiet Street in District 10 in Trung Vuong Hospital.

The Center will co-ordinate emergency activities outside of hospitals in the City as well as provide first-aid to patients, take them to the nearest hospitals for further treatment and conduct medical research.

The project will be in two phases. In the first phase, the City will build the Center and establish six other emergency units in the Saigon General Hospital, and the General Hospitals in Districts 7, Hoc Mon, Thu Duc and Binh Tan.

The first phase will cost around VND24 billion (US$1.1 million) and the second phase will equip the Center with more devices.
