Dong Thap is home of lotus in the South. The festival is a chance to present images of lotus in daily lives in the countryside, cultural characteristics of Dong Thap and promote tourism potentials of the province.
Visitors will have an oportunity to enjoy handicraft products made of lotus, natural cosmetics made of lotus, performance of calligraphy on lotus leaves.
The festival will also include concert, lotus flower arrangement contest, children’s painting competition and seminar on Dong Thap lotus with the participation of scientists, businesses and lotus growers.
The event held by the People’s Committee of the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap will run until September 3.
