During one year, the district committee has mounted several campaigns to disseminate and educate people not to throw litter away.
So far, nearly 32,000 households in the district pledged not to throw garbage outside in streets and canals as well as most of state employees agreed to follow environmental regulations.
Moreover, around 1,470 household eateries promised to put waste in dust bins and tidy their eateries and not discharge wastewater in streets.
The People’s Committee in District 3 used posters, electronic posters, and loudspeakers attached to vehicles calling for people to keep streets clean.
Around 10,500 people have taken part in the campaign launched in 14 wards of the district to clean up streets and collect waste as well as remove 5,400 advertising posters and ads on walls and electricity poles.
District 3 People’s Committee has also carried out solutions to reduce nylon bags and single-use plastic products. 25 groceries use environmentally-friendly bags in residential quarters and sell siodegradable bags to customers.
Thirty three teams and 71 individuals were hailed for following the direction well.
