At the meeting, enterprises of the two country were provided information on regulations of agro-products import and export and resolve difficulties for enterprises of the two sides.
As per the Ministry, by June, 2018, export revenue of 20 agro-products reached $1 billion. China is one of Vietnam’s large and traditional market of agricultural products with rise in fruit and fish export in first seven months.
However, some of Vietnamese agricultural products such as mangosteen, durian, lemon, pig, dairy products, and freshwater fish are not permitted to enter China which has set up high requirements on agro-products. China set high requirement of agricultural product quality; accordingly, Vietnamese exports into China coped with competition from other Asian countries.
