Concert for children with autism in Hanoi

A concert titled “ Love of Blue” featuring Violist Nguyet Thu and her Apaixonado String Quartet band will take place at the Vietnam National Academy of Music’s Grand Concert Hall in Hanoi on April 2.

The concert will treat music lovers to a night of classical and romantic music pieces such as You Raise Me Up, Romance for Viola and Orchestra, Concerto for Viola and Orchestra, Viva la Vida and Palladio.

There will be a painting exhibition presenting about 20 art works by talented children with autism, aiming to mark the World Autism Awareness Day on April 2. These paintings will be auctioned before the show & all proceeds of the event will go to donate for 10 talented underprivileged children.

Violist Nguyet Thu graduated from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. She won the second prize at the Moscow International Viola Competition and has performed with foreign orchestras across the world.

She returned home for the establishment of the Apaixonado String Quartet in 2014. Thu also opened the School for Arts, the first school that receives children with autism in Vietnam.
