After nearly 2 years running the project, the HCMC common database (the first phase) has been finished and is now operating in Quang Trung Software City, based on the integration of current data of different industries in the city.
Certain critical sub databases include 1-stage electronic public service, complaint receipt, hotlines, business registration, foreign investment, tax payers, foreign laborers, land ownership.
The conference wholeheartedly welcomed all ideas from consultation experts, representatives of different industries, and state representatives of districts about management, operation, and exploitation methods for this common database. This will be followed by the adjustment of existing regulations to submit to the HCMC People’s Committee next week.
The new regulation is expected to concretize the city’s policy regarding shared database uses, to create a proper legal corridor for the organization and exploitation of this database in order to better perform administration tasks as well as more effectively serving the public and businesses.
In related news, the Vietnam ITO Conference 2019, themed ‘Vietnam – the Emerged Destination for Innovation’, was co-held yesterday in HCMC by Quang Trung Software City (QTSC), the Investment & Trade Promotion Center (ITPC), and the Vietnam Information Technology Outsourcing Alliance (VNITO).
The milestone of this event was an agreement signing ceremony between VNITO and six similar organizations from Japan and the Republic of Korea in order to promote trade in the field of IT among the three markets as well as the global one.
More than 500 participants were welcomed, including 150 foreign ones. Over 200 informal business matchings happened between Vietnamese IT enterprises and their international counterparts.
