Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong welcomed Laos’ newly- elected Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Somxay Sanam-Oune on December 28.
At the reception, Mr. Somxay Sanam-Oune congratulated Mr. Phong as newly- elected HCMC People’s Committee Chairman.
Besides, the chairman also expressed his pleasure to comprehensive cooperative relations between Vietnam and Laos in general and between Ho Chi Minh City and localities in Laos in particular; and he believed the Consul General will continue to strengthen further the cooperation relations between two countries in the time ahead.
On the occasion, the chairman congratulated the neighbor country's successful year as ASEAN Chair in 2016
