The 4th Education Development Festival will be held at the Phu Tho Indoor Sports Stadium on 221 Ly Thuong Kiet Street in District 11 in Ho Chi Minh City from May 17-20.
The four-day event will showcase a variety of educational models offered by educational managers, schools, businesses and organisations in Vietnam and abroad.
In addition, visitors will receive a discount of at least 15 per cent on books and school equipment.
On this occasion, Vietnam Publishing House will offer free textbooks to children of martyrs in 13 cities and provinces nationwide. Almost 7,425 textbook sets worth more than VND1.2 billion (US$57,100) will be handed out. The publishing house will also donate five bookcases to poor schools in Can Tho City.
Many activities will be held during the festival, such as an exhibition on the educational achievements in HCMC, school models in Vietnam and abroad, information technology educational forums and services, interaction with education consultants, and contact with suppliers of school equipment.
