Fabricio Mattos, one of Brazil’s greatest classic guitarists will give a performance at the Vietnam National Academy of Music in Hanoi on June 18.

Fabricio Mattos was born in Curitiba in Brazil and studied at the Padéia Music School in Curitiba. He was introduced to the guitar at the early age of 14.

He launched his first CD titled ‘España’ in 2007. He has performed in 83 concerts throughout Brazil, which is considered the most significant guitar tour ever realized in that country in 2009.

He has received many awards during his career including the Armando Prazeres Prize for Young Soloists of Petrobras (Rio de Janeiro, 2003); Ivor Mairants Guitar Award (Worshipful Company of Musicians, London); Picker Trust Award (Royal Academy of Music, London Web Show Video Award); Alexander Tansman Competition of Musical Personalities (Lodz, Poland); Julien Bream Award (London).
