Belarusian Prime Minister visits Ho Chi Minh City

 

Belarusian Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich arrived on an official visit to Vietnam yesterday (December 1) and visited Ho Chi Minh City and met with Le Hoang Quan, Chairman of the HCMC People’s Committee.

 

Chairman Quan said that this was a great opportunity to enhance   cooperation between the two countries, both economically and politically. He said the city will do its best to boost the traditional Vietnam-Belarus friendship and comprehensive cooperation ties, most importantly in education and business between HCMC and Minsk .

 

PM Mikhail Myasnikovich said he was impressed by the speedy   developments and socio-economic achievements of the City in particular and of Vietnam in general.

 

He expressed his belief that this visit will bring many opportunities for the two countries to boost cooperation in many fields, especially trade and investment.

 

He said Belarus will create favourable conditions for the two countries’ enterprises to work together and encouraged Vietnamese businesses to invest in a trade complex in Minsk City to put cooperation between the two sides into practice.

 

Chairman Quan and Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee also signed a cooperation agreement for the period 2012-2014 between HCMC and Minsk .

 

The same day, PM Mikhail Myasnikovich visited the Vietnam Expo 2011 in district 7 and attended the Vietnam-Belarus Business Forum. He affirmed that Belarus will be the best partner for Vietnamese enterprises.

 

He said that Vietnamese goods entering Belarus and eastern European countries can easily enter many other European countries.

 

The PM also witnessed the signing of cooperative agreements between businesses of the two countries.

 

On afternoon of the same day, PM Mikhail Myasnikovich and his entourage left Ho Chi Minh City , concluding his official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.
