The semifinal round of the beauty contest of Ethnic Minority Groups was held by CIAT Company and the People’s Committee of Quang Nam Province on May 30 in Vung Tau City during the Quang Nam Heritage Festival.
The 57 participants are mostly students. They took part in the bikini and Vietnamese traditional costumes rounds. Participants are from the Kinh, Ede, K'Ho, S'Tieng, Hre, Nung, and Cham Groups.
Organizers selected 40 best contestants to participate in the final contest. Thus, 70 best candidates will take part in the final contest including 30 contestants of Northern Region, and 40 contestants of Southern Region.
Accordingly, the final beauty contest will take place in the ancient town of Hoi An from June 11-26.
