At the meeting, Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), Asian Commercial Joint Stock Bank (ACB), Sacombank , Eximbank, Vietcombank, Viettinbank signed agreement to offer VND2,140 billion ($94,144,560) loan with preferential interesting rate to 140 enterprises and households which run business.
The loan program with special interesting rate has been initiated by the State Bank of Vietnam - branch in Ho Chi Minh City, the Department of Industry and Trade and other related agencies.
Deputy director of Sacombank Ms. Tran Lam Minh Nhi said that the bank has partaken in the program for five years. Its 6,300 clients in HCMC loaned nearly VND176,810 billion with low interest rate.
In 2017, Sacombank has planned to allocate VND6 trillion with interesting rate of 6.9 percent a year for enterprises and the households. Additionally, Sacombank has also offered many other interesting programs.
Deputy head of People’s Committee in District 1 Mr. Luu Trung Hoa said that since 2012 the district administration has liaised with related agencies to connect banks and enterprises.
So far, over 1,210 enterprises, households which runs business, and small businesses in the district borrowed VND108,490 billion. Apart from this, since the beginning of 2017, 352 customers have borrowed VND31,450 billion for running their businesses.
Low interest loans have help businesses resolve difficulties, access to markets and improve companies’ competitiveness, Mr. Hoa added.
Owner of Hao Company Mr. Pham Thi Thu Ha said that the program has helped companies to access loans with preferential interesting rate; thus, it has helped to cut spending down. She expected that banks will continue the program to help enterprises more.
Nguyen Duc Lenh from the State Bank of Vietnam - branch in HCMC said that in first six months of 2007, the bank created a credit package to support enterprises with participation of 16 commercial banks. Total amount for the program is nearly VND226,180 billion.
