Asian Youth Orchestra returns to Hanoi’s stage

Concerts performed by the Asian Youth Orchestra are held at the Grand Concert Hall in Hanoi’s Vietnam National Academy of Music on August 17-18.

Concerts performed by the Asian Youth Orchestra are held at the Grand Concert Hall in Hanoi’s Vietnam National Academy of Music on August 17-18.

The concerts is directed by baton of conductors James Judd and Richard Pontzious. Conductor Pontzious is one of founders of the AYO. 

Tickets are sold at VND200,000 (US$18).

The annual concert is part of the AYO’s three-week international concert tour with celebrated conductors and solo artists.

The 110-member orchestra first performed in Hanoi in 1996, and since has performed in Vietnam in 2000, 2011 and 2013.

In 2000, the orchestra performed in both Hanoiand HCM City.
